Significance of Ezekiel 12:

Throughout Scripture, God often used more than words to reach a hardened people—He used visual acts, bold symbolism, and prophetic drama to awaken hearts. When people refused to listen to His voice, He would command His prophets to act out the message, so that truth could be seen, not just heard.

In Ezekiel 12, the prophet is instructed by God to pack his belongings, dig a hole through a wall, and escape by night—“while they watch.” It was a striking visual prophecy of what would soon happen to the king and people of Jerusalem as they tried to flee from Babylon. God said again and again, “perhaps they will understand, though they are a rebellious house.”

This idea—that truth must sometimes be seen to be grasped—is the heart of our mission.
